Morris Weiss original cartoon strip artwork
Morris Weiss was an American comic book and strip artist and writer. Active from the 1930s through the mid-1970s, he created the teen comedy character Margie, the 1940s predecessor of Marvel Comics, and was the last cartoonist to draw the comic strip Mickey Finn. He also worked as a writer or illustrator on numerous other strips, including Joe Palooka. Referring to Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, Morris Weiss said in 2006, "'Sparky' Schulz once told me that Mickey Finn was his dad's favorite comic strip. Compliments like that you don't hear every day."
