Angus Scott was a Scottish artist educated at Glasgow School of art who became a prolific cartoonist and illustrator for numerous magazines, including Punch. During the 1930s and 1940s Scott drew political cartoons for the motoring magazine The Light Car. He wrote two books on drawing, The Art of Pen & Ink and Drawing in Pen and Ink. Scott also worked on the Daily Mirror’s cartoon strips, including ‘Belinda Blue Eyes’ and ‘Ruggles’. As a comic artist he is best known for his work on Charles Chilton’s "Riders of the Range" which he drew for the Eagle.
