In 1929, Sid Moon joined the Cambridge Daily News as a staff cartoonist. He also produced cartoons for the Cambridge Chronicle. In August 1935, Moon left Cambridge to join the Sunday Dispatch as their political cartoonist. He stayed there until the paper ceased production in 1961. His work also appeared in the war-time anthology in 1943 entitled ‘400 famous Cartoons’ alongside fellow cartoonists Neb, Illingworth, Lee and Gittins.
